I'm Twenty-one. Pacific Northwest raised. Communication Studies Major, Environmental Studies Minor at CWU, hakuna matata. At this point John Mayer summarizes my life through song better than I can in words, however I'm learning to do it for myself and use his words as a complement to my adventures. I enjoy a good book, song, concert, meal, sunrise, outfit, and company, eventually getting lost in thoughts about the future. From time to time I enjoy a good game of baseball too, if I do, it’s the Yankees or Mariners. I want to spend the rest of my life in college, helping college students grow into the people they aspire to become. This is about my growth as an aspiring professional in Higher Education, my subtle obsession with John Mayer and how a odd balance of the two keep me inspired as I move towards my dreams.

My tumblr is transitioning. I’ve been thinking for the last 9 months or so about starting a professional blog, but I couldn’t imagine keeping up with two blogs and I love this one because I’ve had it for almost 2 years… back in the days of Tumblarity.
As I’m less than two weeks from 21 I’m finding myself on more “stop this train” adventures than ever. My mind is usually thinking about what my next professional move will be and no matter how often I continue to call myself a kid, I’m not really that anymore. In three years time I’ll be graduating from graduate school and starting my career, and as much as I just want to stay put I’m so excited to get there
As much as I love the song Perfectly Lonely, I’m not anymore, I’ve found a man and he’s great. For this reason along with the fact that over time this blog will become more professional, I feel that it’s appropriate to change my title to something more fitting. In the mean time, I’ll be listening to as many John Mayer songs until one inspires me towards title worthiness.
Speaking of my buddy John… what role will he play in this. The constant inspiration will definitely be present along with the best pictures I come across.
This tumblr will just be more about me, and less about John, because at the end of the day, I’m not him, he’s just the friend who whispers inspiration in my ear to keep me going every now and then.
