SomedayI'llSOAR

I'm Ivana Michelle.
"I was born in the arms of imaginary friends"
I'm Twenty-one. Pacific Northwest raised. Communication Studies Major, Environmental Studies Minor at CWU, hakuna matata. At this point John Mayer summarizes my life through song better than I can in words, however I'm learning to do it for myself and use his words as a complement to my adventures. I enjoy a good book, song, concert, meal, sunrise, outfit, and company, eventually getting lost in thoughts about the future. From time to time I enjoy a good game of baseball too, if I do, it’s the Yankees or Mariners. I want to spend the rest of my life in college, helping college students grow into the people they aspire to become. This is about my growth as an aspiring professional in Higher Education, my subtle obsession with John Mayer and how a odd balance of the two keep me inspired as I move towards my dreams.

Anytime I have a window seat I feel the need to document my trip in photos, just because I love flying and airports and everything about traveling. Except security. I was on my way to Kansas for my internship so the morning started at 3 am to get ready for the flight, eat and load the car, the goal was to get  to the airport by 4:30 for my 6:15 flight. I got some Starbucks and went to my gate. I spent my time looking out the window, but the view wasn’t that awesome, of course it was the usual Western Washington overcast. So took out my phone and started to blog about my Friday, that entire post was done from my cell phone lol.

For my first experience flying with Frontier Airlines I have to say that it was fairly good. Unlike my trip to El Salvador I received great attitudes and service. My layover was in Colorado *sigh* but here are some photos I caught on my way out of Washington. We followed I-90 for a while and we crossed above Snoqualmie Pass just as I would if I were to drive from underneath the clouds. The overcast is always so much more beautiful from above, I could see the tops of mountains, one of which was Mr. Rainier, which always the best reminder that the Pacific Northwest will always be home for me. As the clouds faded I could see I-90 below and I followed it as I normally would all the way to Ellensburg.

And of course just as imagined Colorado was just as lush and green as I dreamed it would be. All the more reason to make sure I get there someday. More specifically Colorado State University. I was delayed about 2 hours after I got to Colorado. I bought a Colorado keychain in hopes that I get to go there some day and see more than the airport… someday.

When we got back up in the air after the delay it was just and hour and ten minutes until we arrived in Kansas City, MO. There wasn’t a whole lot to see from Kansas in the sky but I was sitting next to the sweetest older woman. Her son went to KU way back when (I don’t really know when). Then we landed in Kansas, two hours later than intended…

(more to come, I’m a few days behind…)
